Brushes for beginning your collection

Hi, this is my list of brushes that everybody should start out with to apply most looks
ie. smokey or retro.
Yes, some of these brushes are expensive and Im sure you're thinking why cant I just buy a cheapy drugstore set and the answer is because most of them shed like crazy and fall apart quickly.  Also when looking for brushes make sure they are synthetic because the real hair have microscopic pores and they can soak up product which is a waste plus they can hold and cause bacteria to grow and not only is that very unhealthy and dangerous but also gross.

Even though some of these are painfully expensive they are worth every penny I promise!
Brushes are a great investment!

The beauty blender 2 pack is a great deal because 1 sells for around $20 so why not get 2 for a little more

Random Thought for the day 7-23-12

So, Im sitting here watching Jerry Springer (cuz it makes my life look so much better and Im thankful I dont have theirs lol) and I realize I could never be a lesbian.  I would miss penis way too much hahaha.

Am I so wrong?

Ok so let me set the stage for you.
My son who is 14 has long hair.  It's down to the middle of his back. My mom and his dad wants him to get it cut to right above his shoulders. so here is the story.  I'm on Skype with my friend Jenny, My son walked in and Im like hey grandma and dad want you to get your hair cut, before you start school.  When my son was like, yeah.  And I proceeded by showing him a picture of himself from sixth grade, where his hair is right above the shoulders.  He looks at me and says no way mom!  I said okay.  How long or short you want your hair and he says to me almost down to my butt.  My friend Jenny told me to ask why. so I did.  His reply was because he saw on TV and it looked cool.  So I said okay.  If that's the way you want your hair its fine with me but grandma and dad aren't going to be too happy.  Don't worry, I'll stand by you and your decision.  So we're having dinner with my mom and I tell them that Xavier wants to get a haircut but only the split ends and that he wants to grow his hair to almost his butt.  They both had a fit.  My mom starts in on me saying the only reason that I am okay with this is because I'm trying to get them to look like his biological/sperm donor father who had long hair. I said no way in hell is that when I'm trying to do. (my ex, Xavier's biological/sperm donor, was very mentally and physically abusive, and a nonexistent father for my son, even when we were together unless his friends or his family were around.) .  I couldn't believe she was even saying that!  Then I think she realized how stupid that sounded so she switched it over to I was trying to turn him into my old friend Nate.  The guy that I named my son after.  Then dad spoke up and said no no no no no.  It's because she has this obsession with long hair because her father cut her hair really short when she was seven and ever since then she's been trying to grow her hair out and now she wants her son to have really long hair to.  Yes, it's true.  My father cut my hair off when I was seven and it sucked because I had my hair down to my butt in.  He chopped it all off because he was sick and tired of brushing my hair but that was 28 years ago.  I've gotten over it.  Plus I've had long hair for years so that has nothing to do with me standing by my son.  the real reason I'm standing behind my son and not letting them cut his hair is because number 1, he does not want to have shorter hair. that is his preference. Number two, I am not going to be one of those parents that my son is going to resent forcing him to have a hairstyle that he does not want just like so many of my friends parents did when I was a teenager.  Plus it's just hair who cares. John, his dad, thinks that he's going to look like "a dirty hippie".  And my mother is so scared of him looking like my ex because for some reason she thinks that looking like him even just a little bit will make him act just like him, which is so stupid.  First of all, my son does not look anything like my ex.  He's cute and he got his looks from my side of the family.  Actually, he got his good looks from my grandpa's side of the family.  The only thing they got from my ex is the color of his hair.  my son is the sweetest teenager you'll ever meet.  So he is nothing like his biological/sperm donor father.  And before anybody gets upset NO, my mom and his dad do not say this stuff in front of him and they never would.  John and my mom both say."  You are the parent, you tell him to cut his hair!"  Then John chimes in and says "if he wanted to get his nose pierced, would you let him?" I said "no, I would make him wait until he's 18. then John says thats parenting so why make him wait but not cut his hair? Then I said you didnt let me finish  or maybe in a few years when he's more responsible."  We stopped talking about it and went home but they are both still mad at me.

So am I so wrong for standing by my son and not getting his haircut just trimmed?
